Flute Lessons

One of the most fulfilling aspects of my career is teaching flute lessons and helping others discover the joy of music! I believe in tailoring lessons to the unique goals and needs of each student while simultaneously providing students with solid foundations in flute fundamentals. I foster a holistic approach to the flute that not only includes techniques for playing the instrument, but also foundations in music theory, performance strategies, audition preparation, and creative practice strategies. My teaching style is characterized by patience, respect, and a passion for the flute!

No refunds or credits will be issued for "no shows" or if you are late to your lesson. I am happy to offer make up lessons when notified at least 24 hours in advance of the missed lesson.  Cancelled lessons due to emergencies and illness will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

I offer lessons in the greater Northern Colorado area, primarily in Boulder and Longmont. I also offer online lessons through Zoom, Skype, Facetime, and Google Meets. Please use the contact form below for questions regarding your lesson location and platform preferences. 

Please bring any recent books or music (if applicable), a pencil, a notebook, and your flute to your first lesson. Throughout the course of our first few lessons, we will create an individualized course of study that reflects your musical needs, goals, and interests.

I enjoy teaching students of all ages and experience levels. Whether I am helping a young beginner discover their first sounds or helping an adult reconnect with the flute after many years, helping others along their musical journey is one of my favorite aspects of teaching private lessons!
